This post is more directed at my subscribers but the spirit of it relates to everyone. The question is “Are you taking action?” For my subscribers the question is have you taken action with my free mini-ebook I sent out last week. (Let me know if you didn’t receive it!) It’s a simple 2 page document that lets you get some super charged backlinks with minimal work.
I put the method to good use last night for 90 minutes and again for 60 minutes today and I have already have 15 super dofollow backlinks ranging from Page Rank 2 to Page Rank 6! These links are on the front page too! In addition I have about 15 super dofollow backlinks that should be visible in the next few hours.
The value of these backlinks are very high no only in terms of PR and SEO but also in cost of purchasing them. On Digital point links like these start at $2 for a PR 2 per month up to $20+ for a PR 6 per month.
To ensure I didn’t create too much competition for these backlinks for my users (or me!) I limited gave a different 10 backlinks opportunities to every 10 subscribers so this won’t get destroyed.
As a weekend promotion… (Ends Sunday 11PM Chicago Time) Anyone who signs up for the trial of my DoFollow Search Engine will get this mini-ebook for free. I will be sending these out manually so it may take a few hours but you will get it by Sunday night!
******My regular subscribers receive regular freebies like this that more then pay for the monthly membership.****

First, thank you for all who visit this blog. It continues to grow in popularity and I am sincerely appreciative. But….
I’m not sure whether its because my site got updated to a page rank of 3 in April or just the general increased traffic but I’m getting a lot more comments that don’t follow my simple rule of no keywords in the name field. The rule is posted directly in the comment form so people shouldn’t claim ignorance. Many sites do not mind this but I just can’t stand having to respond to people’s comments as “iphone” or “colon health”.
Starting today if people post keywords instead of a name it’s getting marked as spam. For those who don’t realize the importance of this, I use Akismet and most other dofollow sites do too. If you get marked as spam a couple times by Akismet you are effectively blocked from posting comments on all Akismet sites. Trust me you don’t want that.
Please understand I appreciate the valuable comments and am more than willing to give dofollow backlinks but

I’ve been so busy creating this site that I’ve spent very little time building backlinks to it. In the past month I barely even remember blog commenting. I think I only spent about 3 or 4 hours last month.
I just checked in yahoo and I have about 2,000 backlinks! This just goes to show you how easy backlink building is when you use my search tool and the techniques found in my newsletter.

I recommend any blog and especially any DoFollow blog to clearly define their rules and expectations for acceptable comments. Failure to set rules leaves you partially to blame when spam starts appearing on your blog. This is starting here so it’s time to set expectations.
My Rules:
- Comments must be of value and add to the current post.
- Do not add links within the comment. You already get a link from your name – Don’t get greedy.
- No misspelled words or 3rd grade English. I appreciate that English is not everyone’s first language but sentence fragments without punctuation is more likely spam.
- Do not post your dofollow blog for submission within a comment. Submit them here.
So this is my quick short list which will change as needed. I also suggest showing your rules clearly. For example, I added these rules to appear directly the new comment section.

comment rules, dofollow blogs, spam
The backlinks you gain from Dofollow blogs should be one of several backlinking strategies. To ensure you gain the backlink you seek and don’t just get deleted as a spammer – I suggest you take this simple test before you submit each comment.
1. Is your comment on topic?
Nothing annoys a blog owner more than a comment that pushes their own agenda while completely ignoring the original topic. If a post is about I-phones than don’t make a cookie cutter post about mortgage rates.
2. Do you add something useful to the conversation?
Do NOT post “thanks”, “good post”, or “Interesting”. In addition, do more than just restate what has already been said. If you are truly commenting on an area of interest you should have something meaningful to add. Comments that add to the conversation are not only likely to be approved but also will create additional traffic from future readers clicking through to your site wanting to see what else you have to say.
3. Are you using a friendly and polite tone?
If you disagree with a post you must be very diplomatic. Remember you are on their turf. It’s their house. However, if you have a valid counter-point must good bloggers actually want debate. I suggest you stick to the facts, leave emotions out of your argument, and never post anything that you wouldn’t tell the person to their face.
4. Would you want someone leaving this comment on your blog?
This is a good final “red face” test. If you would delete the comment if it came on your blog than don’t leave it on someone elses.
By asking yourself these questions each time you will almost always get your backlink and you will have also added value to someone’s blog. Remember the Dofollow movement is a two way street. If you only take and don’t give then the movement will die.
